Who I am

Growing up, I was motivated by my brother's profound autism to understand social cognition and improve the lives of individuals with social deficits. With a passion and skill for research and education that has fueled my career, it is my ultimate goal to become an academic researcher and professor, so I can contribute to social neuroscience and science education. From undergrad to postdoc, a myriad of research experiences across animal models, computations, and techniques shaped my research acumen. As a postdoc in the Hayden lab at Baylor College of Medicine, I currently use extensive electrophysiological recordings from the brain and eye-tracking to understand neural computations of social interactions in humans. Beyond this focal research, I nurture younger generations of scientists, striving to instill inclusivity, creativity, confidence, and capability within them.
